PINT is a Protein-protein Interactions Thermodynamic Database.
Protein-protein interactions play a key role in many biological
processes such as signal transduction, gene expression control,
antibody-antigen complex etc. The integration of structural data
and thermodynamic parameters of protein-protein complexes would
improve our knowledge and pave a way to understand their binding
specificity and functions. To achieve this purpose, we have
developed this database, PINT.
PINT contains experimental data of several
thermodynamic parameters along with literature, sequence and structural
information and experimental conditions. Each entry contains
the name and source of the proteins involved in binding,
their PIR, SWISS-PROT and PDB codes, secondary structure and
solvent accessibility of mutant positions and experimental
conditions.
The "Text Search" and "Advanced Search"
options provide the necessary tools to extract data from PINT.
The "Tutorial" page illustrates how to
optimize your query,
search the PINT database and retrieve the data.
